Cambridge English: Young Learners, also known as Young Learners English (YLE), give a consistent measure of how well 7–12 year–olds are doing in the skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. Tests are designed to make learning fun and children are encouraged by working towards certificates and earning ‘shields’ that record their progress.

Mumtaza Islamic school, particularly primary level above, requires its students to take the YLE examination program. The test is organized in three levels: Starter, Mover, Flyer/KET. The test will be administered after two years of English course intake. Thus, the YLE Starter test is scheduled for year 2 students, the YLE Mover is for year 4 students, and the YLE Flyer/KET (Key English Test) is for year 6 students.

Recently, Mumtaza Islamic School has been appointed as one of Exam Preparation Centre by Cambridge Language Assessment from Cambridge University.
